The Scene: The Red Pump Project (Chicago)

The Red Pump ProjectBack in March, we had the pleasure of introducing you to The Red Pump Project. Created by bloggers Karyn of The Fabulous Giver and Luvvie of Awesomely Luvvie, The Red Pump Project was created "to represent the strength and courage of women fighting HIV/AIDS or affected by the disease both directly and indirectly." Since its founding, the Red Pump Project now has 30 Ambassadors in 20 states across the US.

This Saturday, October 3, The Red Pump Project Chicago will be walking in the AIDS Run and Walk. We received this message from Karyn and Luvvie:

"We've formed a team with 5 people. To date, we've raised $1,765, thanks to the generosity of some AWESOME donors. Help us reach our goal of $2,000 and donate at The Red Pump AIDS Walk page. The money you donate is tax-deductible, and will be going to support over 100 organizations who are doing work in the fight against HIV/AIDS."

There is still time to donate & help them reach their goal! Click on the link above and help these two young women and their team meet their goal that will most certainly help those who are helping to fight against HIV/AIDS.

Hey Belle! Thanks for this spotlight. We truly appreciate your support of The Red Pump Project. We've ended up raising $1,935 for the AIDS Walk, and that surpassed our initial goal. We're so thankful for bloggers like you.
