Things are moving SO FAST! But we wanted to announce the winners of our "I Love My Body" T-Shirt Giveaway. Since we had 11 comments, we have decided to give all 11 ladies who entered a free t-shirt (we just couldn't leave ONE lady out).

We  are just about one week in after the debut of our digital issue and the response has been AMAZING! We cannot thank all of you enough for your support!

One comment that we have received both on the Facebook Page and in the numerous email comments is "Where can I get one of those t-shirts?" from our "Why I Love My Body Photo Shoot". Well, we are giving away not one, not two, but TEN shirts (five of each design) to ten lucky ladies right here on the blog in the first of what we hope will be many giveaways that we are going to call "Sweet Treats" because, well, getting something for free is pretty sweet!

Here's how to enter!

1) Leave a comment below on THIS post stating "I Love My Body!" Nothing else, just "I Love My Body"
2) Comments will be accepted from Sunday, September 12 until Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:59pm EST.
3) On Thursday, September 16, 2010, we will use a randomizer to select ten winners from the comments received!
4) Winners will be announced Friday morning, September 17, 2010. We will provide more information on how to get your t-shirt at that time.

The Rules (because you KNOW there has to be some):
-For U.S. readers only (Sorry international readers. We will have something special for you soon!)
-Contest ends Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:59pm EST.

You Could Be Our Next Belle of the Month!

The Belle of the Month is BACK!

Are you an aspiring and/or established plus size model? We are looking for plus size models to be featured in our Belle of the Month column. Here's what you have to do:

1) Email us at editor@belle-noir.com with "Belle of the Month" in the subject line and your answers to the following questions:

• Full Name (for Belle-Noir Magazine purposes only)
• Professional Name (if you go by a different name in the modeling industry)
• Hometown (i.e. The Bronx, New York)
• Age
• When did you first know that you wanted to be a model?
• Have you been in any fashion shows or been featured in any print/web layouts?
• How would you define your personal style?
• What Projects are you currently involved with?
• What is one quote/saying that serves as inspiration for you?
• Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 Years?

2) Attach two (2) photos of yourself: one head shot and one full body pic. While the head shot does not have to be a professional pic, the full body pic should be a professional photo from your portfolio. Please include all photo credits if you do not own the rights to your photo (i.e. Photographed by Joe Smith for JSPhotography). Please do not send pictures featuring nudity, lingerie or swimsuits.

3) Include links to your portfolio and/or websites.

4) Check out some past Belles of the Month here to get an idea of what we are looking for.
Models selected to be featured will receive an email with more information regarding what month they will be featured, etc.

Lane Bryant's Closet of Your Dreams Contest

Starting March 10 through April 1 Lane Bryant is sponsoring a contest to win a closet and wardrobe makeover.

The contest is called “Closet of Your Dreams” and the grand prize winner gets a ClosetMaid closet makeover valued at $2,500 and a Lane Bryant wardrobe valued at $2,500. Lane Bryant will even hook you up with a personal shopper.

Additional prizes will be awarded too. The first place prize winner gets $500 in ClosetMaid products and a $500 Lane Bryant gift card. Second place winners (10 total) get $100 in ClosetMaid products and a $100 Lane Bryant gift card. Third place winners (150 total) get $25 Lane Bryant gift cards and 1,000 other winners will get $5 ClosetMaid canvas organizers.

Editor's Note: I was just in Lane Bryant last night purchasing a pair of Spanx to wear underneath a gown for an event this weekend and was looking adoringly at all of the absolutely darling dresses and tops that just sang out spring and summer. I was also looking at LB's favorite price on several of the dresses (89.50, anyone?) Full Figure Plus Beauty of the Week Contest

Our good friend Glen over at FullFigurePlus.com, a blog that features information for plus size women and men, is starting a Beauty of the Week Contest as a response to the several emails and inquiries he gets regarding plus size modeling on a daily basis.

"The thought behind this contest is to showcase ladies that want to break into plus size modeling or that are already established and want more exposure" says Glen in the post announcing the contest.
