Good Food: Not Even The President Himself...

"Not even the President himself had a better meal than we did today."

These words were spoken by my Aunt, Mrs. Lou Della Williams, after every Thanksgiving and Christmas meal. She believed, as do I to this day, that while extravagent foods are wonderful, it is the love put into the food and those that have prepared it, that truly make the meal. Soul food, indeed.

I so wish that she was here to see Barack Obama's Inauguration as the 44th President of the United States today. In honor of her, and in keeping with President Obama's hommage to President Lincoln in his first official meal as President, here are some receipes that you can prepare for your family as you celebrate History and Change that has come to America. Make, and eat, in love.

Seafood Stew
Molasses Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Barbecued Duck
Apple Cinnamon Bundt Cake
